DRUG PLANS

Drug Coverage (Part D) is Separate: You have the freedom to choose any drug plan from any insurance company you want independent of your Medicare Supplement plan. This allows you to pick the company that is going to offer you the best price for your Medicare Supplement plan and then separately pick the best drug plan that will offer your medications for the lowest cost available. This allows you the flexibility to ensure you are saving the most money possible on each part of your Medicare coverage. Part D drug coverage with a Medicare Advantage Plan If you have chosen to take a Medicare Advantage Plan (Also know as Part C of Medicare), then your prescription drug coverage will typically be built into the plan that you select. Medicare advantage plans look and feel very similar to the health insurance you may have had before you joined Medicare, where your hospital, doctor, and drug coverage was all provided by the same company and you only needed to carry one ID card. What Is Critical Illness Insurance? The critical illness insurance refers to a type of coverage that pays a policyholder after being diagnosed with a severe sickness within the policy term. As long as you’re paying the premiums, the insurer will compensate you fully. However, the protection stops as soon as your term ends.
